The Godfather and the Bastard State: US Undercover Base Deeply Involved in Gaza War. What If They Allowed 7 October?

GEW Essays and Reports

Gaza has always been a thorn in Israel’s side. What if Hamas’s operation was not the cause justifying Israel’s brutal retaliation against the population? What if the secret plan was to empty Gaza and/or transferring its population to the Sinai?

$35.8 million contract to enhance secret US Base Near Gaza two months before the 7 October attack. What did they know? What did they hide from the public in USA and Israel?

Take Aways

  • In response to the Hamas attack, the US government is strengthening its presence in the Middle East.

  • The United States discreetly expands a covert military base near Gaza in Israel.

  • Government records suggest the establishment of a classified US base in the Negev desert.

  • The base, known as \”Site 512,\” was “initially” responsible for monitoring Iranian missile assaults against Israel.

  • Two months before a Hamas strike on Israel, a multimillion-dollar contract for a troop facility at the base was awarded.

  • The Pentagon has taken precautions to conceal the exact nature of the base.

  • The goal of the base is reportedly to counter the danger presented by Iranian mid-range missiles.

  • Budget records reflect the expansion of the US military presence in Israel.

  • On 7 October, the Base remained silent. Why?

Analysis

Operation Al-Aqsa Flood

The attack on Israel by Hamas on 7 October 2023 began in the early morning, with a large barrage of rockets fired into southern Israel starting around 6:30am local time (03:30 GMT)[[1]]. This initial rocket attack was followed by land, air, and sea incursions throughout the day, with various forms of fighting and attacks taking place including infiltrations into Israeli territory by Hamas fighters [[2]]. The attacks occurred in a coordinated manner across different locations and targeted both military bases and civilian areas. As part of the attacks, Palestinian militants breached the Gaza-Israel barrier, attacked neighbouring Israeli communities and military bases, and took prisoners into the Gaza Strip. Over the course of the day, the violence resulted in a significant number of casualties on both sides, 1400 according to Israeli sources.

The exact duration of the attacks on that day is not explicitly mentioned in the sources, but it\’s evident from the descriptions that the conflict spanned several hours, from the early morning rocket attacks to ongoing fighting and infiltration attempts throughout the day. The attacks of this day initiated a broader conflict, referred to as the 2023 Israel-Hamas war.

What Preceded the Flood

Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, did not take place in a vacuum. It was influenced by a number of variables. Among the key motivations are:

  1. Israeli Policies and Attacks:

   – Israeli aggression and occupation have been stated as pretexts for Operation Al-Aqsa Flood [[3]].

   – The far-right Israeli government\’s policies permitting settler violence in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem have led to Palestinian desperation and mounting calls for a response [[4]].

  1. Desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque:

   – Hamas blamed some of the confrontation on the recent desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israeli settlers, a long-running issue [[5]].

  1. Regional Dynamics:

   – The acceleration of Arab-Israeli normalisation, which has diminished the importance of the Palestinian issue in the eyes of some Arab leaders, has obliged Hamas leadership to act. The prospective Saudi Israeli normalisation agreement, which could have marked a turning point in the Arab-Israeli conflict, was also taken into account by Hamas [[6]].

4.International Relations:

   – Hamas gained confidence after restoring ties with Iran and realigning its political posture following the Arab Spring. Improved contacts with regional players such as Iran and Syria,[7] made possible by individuals such as Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, provided Hamas with more support.

  1. Strategic Possibility:

   – The transfer of Israeli forces from the south to the north to protect settlements from escalating tensions in the West Bank provided a strategic opportunity for Hamas to launch an attack [[8]].

Individually or together, these elements contributed to Hamas\’ decision to begin Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, indicating a complex interplay of regional dynamics, local grievances, and international relations in the conflict\’s escalation.

No Clues About Your Enemy When You’re at War Does Not Discharge You

On the other side, I contend that it is extremely doubtful that the US-Israeli axis in the Middle East was unprepared for what was coming or have no clues about it.

In an era defined by escalating tensions and complex geopolitical dynamics, the partnership between the United States and Israel stands as a testament to shared strategic interests and political alliances. One of the most intriguing manifestations of this partnership is the United States Army\’s discreet presence in Israel, specifically at Site 512—a radar installation situated in the Negev desert, a mere 20 miles away from the Gaza Strip. For all what happened during hours on 7 October, how can anyone explain the non-reaction among the US-Israeli intelligence and military system?

Base 512 Operating Undercover Targetting Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas

The United States maintains a substantial military presence in the Middle East, with its largest installation, Al Udeid Air installation, located in Qatar [[9]][[10]]. The headquarters of the United States Central Command (USCC) and the United States Air Force Central Command (USAFCC) are located on this facility[[11]]. The base is strategically significant since it can house a large number of aircraft and soldiers and has been utilised as a staging ground for operations in the region [[12]], notably against Iraq during the 2003 invasion [[13]].

The United States and Qatar have a close strategic cooperation, with Qatar providing essential basing access to assist US military activities in the Middle East [[14]][[15]][[16]]. But even with such a relationship, Qatar would not allow the US military to use Al-Udeid in a joint-US-Israeli aggression against Iran, for Doha would be the first to pay the price for such an attack, or against

the Palestinian people, as it happened in the wake of 7 October 2023. Some of Hamas leaders are hosted in Doha and some others in Turkey, a Qatari ally.

Hence, the necessity for the USA to have a discreet base in Israel itself. Whether to attack Iran or to attack the Palestinian resistance, the US-Israeli axis would be better served.

That is the mission of a classified base in Israel known as Site 512 [[17]][[18]]. According to reports, this installation is a radar facility that monitors the skies for missile assaults against Israel, with a particular focus on Iran [[19]], and surely with an oversight of Gaza, the West Bank, and South Lebanon.

Strategic Importance of Site 512

\"\"

Site 512 was established, assumedly, as a “radar installation” with a primary objective of monitoring the skies to detect potential missile threats targeting Israel. But oddly enough, on 7 October 2023, the radars of the base went “blind”, unable to detect any movement coming from Gaza though the sky! Who would believe it?

In the first place, why Israel needs to host an American Base? Is it unable to intercept and stop the threats without the presence of US troops? And why the USA needs such a base in Israel, although it has many, like Al-Udaid (8000 troops), Kuwait (13500), Bahrain (9000), UAE (3500), Saudi Arabia (2700), Oman (a few hundreds), Jordan (2936), Iraq (2500), Syria (900), and Turkey (1885)? Is it just another base in the US strategic system surrounding the Middle East or, more precisely, the Arab peninsula? No, it is not just another base. It has a specific goal, which cannot be achieved easily from the other facilities in the region. For neither Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Syria or even Turkey (The Nato member) would allow the US facilities they host for a US-Israeli joint operation against Iran, and much less against the Palestinians. The consequences for the regional governments would be drastic and likely unsustainable.

If we trust the reports, many of which are American, the focus of Site 512 has predominantly been on Iran, located nearly 700 miles away. Yet, the base\’s proximity to the Gaza Strip raises pertinent questions about its role and operational focus. The establishment of a \”life support facility\” at Site 512, as indicated in official US government documents, further complicates the narrative, potentially signaling a longer-term American military commitment in the region [[20]].

The Pentagon\’s Contract and Its Timing

In August, two months prior to Hamas initiating its offensive against Israel, the Pentagon granted a $35.8 million contract aimed at enhancing Site 512\’s infrastructure. Interestingly, this development had not been publicly announced or reported before and was discovered through an analysis of budget documents by The Intercept [[21]]. This raises questions about the timing and intent behind the US military expansion in Israel. Could this be perceived as an indirect endorsement or preparation for Israel\’s military activities in the region? If we push a little further the interrogation, we will face two options, none of them is satisfying for the US-Israeli axis.

Two Unsatisfying Options For US-Israeli Axis

Option One: End Or Near End of US-Israeli Supremacy

The first option, whose source is the US-Israeli axis itself, suggests to people the idea of strategic failure in intelligence and defence technology and resources.  But this is equal to saying to them: “Prepare yourself to see the end of US-Israeli superiority.” Why? Because even the Palestinians, despite occupation and control, are now able to undo our system. If the Palestinians could do what they did on 7 October, it means that other adversaries, declared or undeclared, seen or unseen, are free (not under military occupation) and could have access to the most sophisticated technology, overcome our surveillance and defeat us. On the other hand, the defeat of the US-Israeli surveillance system on 7 October 2023, elevated those who masterminded the Al-Aqsa Flood operation to the rank of strategic geniuses and those who courageously executed it to that of Palestinian Arab and Muslim heroes. Indeed, for most of the mainstream Western narrative, it is “terrorism,” and Hamas is “terrorist”. But they did not show evidence of terrorist behaviour in a situation opposing an invading power to a national liberation movement. Remember: Israel has occupied Palestine in the last 75 years, and Hamas was created just in December1987, as a segment of the Palestinian nationalist movement. It emerged during the first Intifada, a Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. Hamas is an acronym of حركة المقاومة الاسلامية Ḥarakat al-Muqāwamat al-Islāmiyyah, meaning \”Islamic Resistance Movement\”.

All the people who fought occupation, including Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia and even France (against Nazi), did and, if necessary, would do again the same than what Hamas did to Israel. Only those who did not have to fight colonisation do not understand exactly what it means to live under occupation. That is the significant cleavage that divides nations. Historical experience is direct knowledge. It shapes the mind and the spirit of individuals and communities. No regrets, no apologies for what people under occupation do to get freedom. It is always the colonial power that is on the wrong side of history and legitimacy, never the occupied. Hence, we cannot label national resistance “terrorism.” The 7 October will therefore pass in history as the great Fedayeen operation that undermined the concept of US- Israeli intelligence, defence and technological supremacy and put the Palestine National Liberation Movement on the track of independent Palestine. The enemies of freedom for the Palestinian people, whoever they are, will fight the achievement and try to diminish it and smear Hamas. They’re already on the dirty job. They will do everything to help Netanyahu and his extremist clique try to destroy the resistance organisation’s infrastructure, like Ariel Sharon – another extremist criminal – did in 1982 in Beirut against the PLO of Yasser Arafat, before expelling them far away from Israel. Any success in the colonial business is nothing more than a short-term victory. Hamas is not just an organisation, but an idea and an ideal. So many organisations will be created to do the same thing, as long as Palestine remains under occupation. Today, Hamas embodies the idea of resistance. Tomorrow, if Hamas is dismantled and decimated, another Hamas will emerge to continue the same struggle. It will learn from Hamas mistakes, will avoid them and improves in power, sustainability, while enlarging the scope of resistance and warfare. Those who support Israel today in its genocide, will regret it tomorrow. Hamas, conversely to other Islamist groups, has never targeted any Western country. It is unsure whether those who come after Hamas will fight Israel without fighting its supporters. For it seems obvious to everybody today, that without the green light from those hypocrite governments, Netanyahu would never dare continue the genocide in Gaza.  Destroying Hamas and Gaza with its 2.3 million population, will not solve Israel’s problem. Only one solution can solve it: Liberate Palestine.

It is worth noting that on this issue, the Western official narrative, relayed by complying mass media, is like the Western values, not universal. There are – there have always been – counter-narratives. First and foremost in the West itself: the radical left, for example, along with many Human Rights activists, academics, intellectuals, artists, journalists,  sympathisers of the Palestinian cause, Jewish people included[[22]]. We don’t even need to talk about 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide, or the Arab peoples, from the Gulf to the Atlantic, many of whom took to the streets to vent their anger and condemn the massacre of the Palestinians perpetrated with full support from Western governments. We don’t need to mention the honest positions of China and Russia either, in support of the Palestinians under daily bombardment. Nor do we need to remind anybody of the courageous stances of the Latin American governments cancelling diplomatic ties with Israel, protesting against the extermination of an entire population in the besieged Gaza. Fortunately, the West has not irredeemably lost its soul. There are still people defending humanism and justice. And since mainstream media rarely mention them as credible sources and assets, we do it. Here are a few examples:

Movements

  1. Swarthmore College has a chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). The group is committed to organising in solidarity for Palestinian rights and promoting awareness of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and justice [[23]] On 10 October, the group released a statement saying, “Since early Saturday morning, Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank have valiantly confronted the imperial apparatus that has constricted their livelihoods for the past seventy-five years.” The statement also said that “decolonisation is far from a metaphor confined to the classroom” and that “There exists only a coloniser and colonised, an oppressed and an oppressor. To resist is to survive, and it is our right.\”[[24]] [[25]]
  2. Democratic Socialists of America: is a political and activist organisation in the United States. It is the largest socialist organisation in the country with over 92,000 members and chapters in all 50 states [[26]].This group promoted a pro-Palestinian rally in New York[[27]].
  3. IfNotNow: is a millennial anti-occupation group that was founded in 2014 by young Jews who opposed American Jewish institutions’ support for Israel’s invasion of Gaza.[[28]] Co-founded by Max Berger, a progressive strategist, this movement of American Jews works to end US support for the Israeli occupation[[29]].
  4. Podemos Party: the radical left-wing in Spain, part of the ruling left-wing coalition led by the leftist Sumar, blamed the violence and death in Israel and Palestine on occupation and apartheid. They called for an end to Israel\’s impunity and respect for the Palestinian right to self-determination[[30]]. Ione Belarra, the social rights minister and leader of Unidos Podemos, posted several times on social media in support of Palestine while criticising the Israeli occupation [[31]].
  5. La France Insoumise (LFI): This New Anti-Capitalist Party in France has been accused of relativism over its response to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict [[32]]. LFI is being investigated for “glorifying terror\” (a bogus accusation from a pro-Zionist government losing credibility and face) over comments following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation [[33]]. The party affirmed its support for the Palestinians and the means of struggle they have chosen to resist.

Media

  1. Mother Jones magazine (USA): has covered the events in Gaza in various articles. One of the recent articles published on October 26, 2023, titled \”Pregnant Gazans Are Miscarrying and Struggling to Access Care\”[[34]] reports that thousands of pregnant women in Gaza are being forced to forgo necessary medical care, and some are miscarrying as a result of living in a war zone. Another article published on October 18, 2023, titled \”An Israeli Journalist on the Hamas Attack and the \’Unfathomable and Criminal\’ Crisis in Gaza\” provides an analysis of the long history behind the current war[[35]]. A third article published on October 24, 2023, titled \”Attacking Health Workers Is a War Crime\” [[36]] discusses how health care workers and hospitals have been among the targets of the Israeli army.
  2. Counter-Punch (USA): has covered the events in Gaza in various articles. In \”Zionist Keir Starmer at Odds With His Own Party,\”(1 November 2023), the author discusses the controversy surrounding Keir Starmer, the leader of the UK Labour Party, and his stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict [[37]]. Starmer initially stated that Israel has the right to defend itself and withhold basic necessities from Palestinian civilians, but later backtracked on these comments. His position has caused divisions within the Labour Party, with some members leaving in protest. Starmer\’s dilemma lies in trying to please both Zionist donors and Muslim voters, as his party needs to win back areas with large Muslim electorates. The article argues that his equivocation on the issue is unlikely to help his party\’s popularity. In \”Gaza Manifesto,\”[[38]] Ramzy Baroud argues that history will not forgive those who remain silent or show a \”balanced\” position regarding Israel\’s actions in Gaza. He criticises the Western world for perpetuating a narrative of a \”war against terror\” and scapegoating Muslims following the events of September 11. Baroud asserts that the West\’s support for Israel\’s actions in Gaza is indicative of their moral failure.
  3. The Nation magazine (USA): has covered the recent events in Gaza extensively. In a recent article, they discussed media\’s coverage of Gaza, focusing on its tendency to portray the region through a lens of death and suffering while ignoring the everyday lives and experiences of Palestinians living there. The author interviews journalist Maram Humaid, who highlights the lack of interest in success stories or everyday struggles in Gaza, and the preference for covering bombings and wars. There is a lack of understanding and trust from international media towards local sources and journalists. The article also addresses internal challenges within the journalism industry in Gaza, such as limited resources and a lack of institutional support. The author argues that while Palestinian perspectives are often used by international organisations, they are not given the authority to shape their own narratives. Overall, the article emphasises the need for more nuanced and diverse coverage of Gaza [[39]].
  4. Palestine Legal: is the only legal organisation in the United States that is exclusively dedicated to supporting the movement for Palestinian rights [[40]]. The organisation\’s attorneys are based in Chicago, New York City, and the Bay Area, and their work spans all 50 states and Washington DC. The organisation provides legal support to activists and community members who have been threatened, investigated, censored, questioned, fired, or even assaulted because of their views.

It is important to note that these groups (we did not mention the individuals) represent a wide range of views and approaches to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, from nonviolent protest and advocacy to more radical forms of resistance. Their prominence and influence can vary greatly depending on the political climate and the specific issues at hand.

Option Two: Believe the Unbelievable

How could it happen without inside betrayal?

Site 512, an established US military compound situated within Israeli borders, undeniably posits a pivotal contribution to missile defence courtesy of the incorporated AN/TPY-2 radar system it accommodates. Nestled within the arid expanses of the Negev Desert, this installation takes on the historic distinction of serving as host to the inaugural, enduring US Army unit deployed to Israeli territory. Monitoring operations for the AN/TPY-2 radar — a technologically advanced, high-definition, phased-array radar adept at the detection and pursuit of an array of ballistic missiles — are overseen by a dedicated battery comprising nearly 120 servicemen. When applied in a forward-deployment layout, this radar apparatus bolsters early alarm proficiency, thus guaranteeing the preservation of civilian life. While Site 512 substantiates itself as a strategic ally for Israel, it has also been the source of dispute and disapproval, most notably from nations like Russia and China, who perceive it as a potential destabilising element in the region. However, regardless of criticisms, the importance of missile defence systems in the area and the pivotal contribution of Site 512 to the safeguarding of innocent civilian lives cannot be diminished. Initiatives aimed at pacifying worries and nurturing openness for the evolution of shared comprehension among the concerned parties have been instigated and pursued… until 7 October 2023, when the pretension became a bad joke.

Overview of Site 512 and its location

Established on Har Keren in the Negev Desert, Site 512 towers was meant to be a key US military installation within the borders of Israel [[41]][[42]]. This site is the operational home to the elevated AN/TPY-2 radar system, a pioneering participant in the global network of the Missile Defence Agency [[43]] [[44]]. Site 512, emerging from its preliminary founding in 2012, transitioned to full operational status in 2017 [[45]]. This progression also signified a historic occasion, marking the first instance of a US Army unit being permanently stationed in Israel.

Nestled within the confines of Site 512 lies the radically advanced AN/TPY-2. This radar system, both mobile and employing phased-array radar, is a master of tracking and detecting ballistic missiles with precision. Adopting a forward-based operational mode, it serves as an early warning system and forged a deep alliance with the Israeli Air Force [[46]].

Despite the pivotal role Site 512 plays in mitigating dangers, it has not been immune to criticism. Largely, this has stemmed from both Russia and China, who assert that its existence disrupts regional stability.

Establishment and opening of the Site

Inaugurating Site 512 marked a consequential juncture in the annals of US-Israel military alliance[[47]]. Activated in 2017, it houses the groundbreaking AN/TPY-2 radar mechanism, a pivotal cog in the global missile defence matrix[[48]][[49]]. Equipped with its avant-garde forward-based mode, the radar fortifies an extensive patrol perimeter and preemptive alert capabilities against impending ballistic missile menaces[[50]]. These strategic advantages are hats off to the joint efforts of approximately 120 personnel strong US Army battery and the Israeli Airborne division [[51]].

Marrying high-end technology with military tactical strategy, Site 512 has quickly transformed into a bastion of safety, projecting security to countless dwellers within its strategic shield[[52]]. But curiously, on 7 October 2023, it failed! Why? Nobody so far has a clue about this defection.

Site 512, equipped with the AP/TPY-2 radar functionality, stands as an innovative masterpiece in missile defence infrastructure [[53]]. Boasting a revolutionary radar system, it has expanded the scope of preemptive alert capabilities, creating an unparalleled security net against incoming missile threats[[54]][[55]]. An innovative forward-based mode catapults its patrol boundary, conferring a distinct edge in spotting and defusing potential hazards. This monumental apparatus should not just provide security to vulnerable civilian communities but also contributes significantly to maintaining regional equilibrium. So, why did it remain silent on that fateful day for Israel?

The necessity of missile defence establishments like Site 512 serving as sentinels cannot be undermined. They are supposed to form a kinetic shield against ballistic missile threats, allowing civilians to navigate their everyday life without constant fear. Far from being geopolitical game pieces, these defence systems serve as fortified barricades protecting people from catastrophic wartime consequences. However, on 7 October 2023, no barricade could stop Al-Aqsa Flood. Something went wrong, but what?

Since Netanyahu was elected, the safety of the Israeli citizens, already fragile, was further undermined from inside. That’s why Netanyahu was in trouble, as demonstrations against his government became routine. He needed something big and frightful enough to put the Israeli troublemakers under control and unite the Israelis around his leadership.

Maybe… Maybe…if the Americans work with him and don’t oppose his plans, he could make it. However, nothing was ready. Netanyahu had to wait for the good opportunity and seize it before it disappeared. At the time, he did not know that it would come on a certain 7 October 2023, although he had intelligence that the Palestinians were very busy preparing something in the underground of Gaza.

Forward-based mode and early warning capabilities

Operating in forward-based mode is a pivotal component of the AN/TPY-2 radar arrangement at Location 512. This mode empowers the radar system to perform an active wide-area scan, thereby providing an early alert for approaching ballistic missile articulations. The radar exploits high-resolution, phased-array science to guarantee accurate following of threats and secure transmission of data to other missile defence configurations.

Working jointly with the Israeli Air Force, the US Army detachment located at Location 512 performs an essential function in identifying and routing the threats.

Within Site 512\’s formidable parameters, a crack team of trained professionals constantly maintain vigilance over the air spaces. The US Army battery, an approximate 120 members strong, harmoniously interacts with Israel\’s airborne defence division. Their concerted effort and operational synchronicity reflect the power of unity between the USA and Israel, working towards the shared goal of bringing the Palestinian people and all those who resist Zionist expansionism, on their knees. But on the 7th of October, nothing in Israel worked as it was expected.

How could that happen without inside betrayal?

/Imagine

Imagine, for example, that the USA and Israel got some intelligence about Hamas preparations for a big operation inside Israel, like the one that happened on 7 October. That would explain why two months before the 7 October, the Pentagon granted a $35.8 million contract aimed at enhancing Site 512\’s infrastructure. Maybe more, because between the USA and Israel, nobody counts the money. The Zionist lobby in Washington DC is there to make sure more money passes under the table than what was shown on the table [[56]]. Without this, it would be terrible for the Americans and the Israelis to believe that despite their technology controls earth, seas, air and space, they had no clue about an operation of such scope! How is that even possible? They should ask their governments, if they really control them (which is highly doubtful as many examples show) how come they let Hamas fighters achieve an unprecedented victory inside – inside? – Yes inside – Israel, without showing the least reaction.

  •  for all the time the Palestinian militants needed to complete their mission and safely return home, with over two hundred prisoners. Even Egypt could not do such a thing during its surprising war in October 1973. How Hamas, even without Israel-US technology, could outdo a global Superpower and its protected ally?Great planning? Okay. But all the same! What if the USA and Netanyahu government were aware of the preparations for the 7 October operation and let it happen? The purpose of not reacting immediately could be precisely the plan they proposed to Egypt: take 2.3 million Palestinians to Sinai and all your debts to the Western financial institutions will be erased. Some reports suggested that Israel and the USA proposed to Egypt to write off its debt to the IMF and other western creditors in return for hosting the population of Gaza in the Sinai. According to the Middle East Eye, Israel proposed writing off a significant portion of Egypt\’s international debts through the World Bank to encourage the Egyptian government to open its doors for displaced Palestinians [[57]]. The Telegraph also reported that Egypt was considering a deal to host up to 100,000 Palestinians displaced from the Gaza Strip in exchange for US debt relief [[58]].
  • If we assume its plausibility, the hypothesis of US-Israeli pre-knowledge of Hamas preparations for 7 October does not diminish at all the military achievement Hamas has performed, which, in military-strategic terms, elevated those who masterminded it to the rank of strategic geniuses and those who courageously executed it to that of Palestinian and Arab heroes. For anyway, Hamas did what it planned. Some would label it “terrorism,” but it would be difficult to prove it. Remember: Israel has occupied Palestine since 75 years, and Hamas was created just in 1987, as a segment of the Palestinian liberation movement.

On the other hand, we cannot exclude the assumption that Israel and the USA knew about the operation and did not move to stop it, because it would allow them to hit two birds with a single stone:

  • Getting rid of Gaza population, which became Hamas incubator (Hamas has been elected), by throwing it in Sinai.
  • Destroying the resistance organisation (although it is impossible to destroy the idea of resistance) and annexing Gaza.

.

Two goals that are more important, from Biden-Netanyahu  perspective, than just exchanging fire with Hamas and stopping its fighters before they enter Israel. The price is high: many dead Israelis and many prisoners. But in war, it is called collateral damage, and the USA has always accepted its principle.

Political Ramifications

The US government, under President Joe Biden, has consistently asserted that there are no intentions to deploy American troops to Israel amid its conflict with Hamas. However, the expansion at Site 512 contradicts this official stance, adding a layer of complexity to US-Israel complicity and potentially affecting America\’s diplomatic ties with other nations in the Middle East[[59]].

Ethical Considerations

The secretive nature of Site 512\’s expansion poses ethical questions, as well as our previous assumption about a plot aiming to empower Israel with total control over Gaza, which explains the insensitivity of the USA and its allies to the sufferance of the people under daily bombardment in Gaza. Government contracts and budget documents have been ambiguous, and the Defence Department\’s attempts to present this as a covert global venture raise concerns about transparency and accountability [[60]].

Geostrategic Objectives: Focus on Iran

The US government\’s immediate response to the Hamas attack reveals an overriding geostrategic objective centred on Iran. As a sponsor of both Hamas and Hezbollah, Iran remains a focal point of American military expansion in the Middle East. The post-incident deployment of additional fighter jets and the positioning of two aircraft carriers off Israel\’s coast indicate a reactive, rather than pre-emptive, strategy [[61]].

Historical Context

\"\"

The inauguration of an American military base on Israeli territory in 2017 was characterised as \”historic\” by Brigadier General Tzvika Haimovitch of the Israeli Air Force. This marks a significant milestone in the military collaboration between the US and Israel and sets a precedent for future engagements [[62]].

The US has a long history of supporting Israel, and relations with Israel are a very important factor in the US government\’s overall foreign policy in the Middle East [[63]]. The US has traditionally tried to advance a diplomatic solution that would satisfy the expansionist claims of the Israelis at the expense of the Palestinians. The US has been a strong supporter of Zionism, used as a tool at the service of US strategic interests in the Middle East and beyond. Washington has always provided Israel with financial and military aid, and has been linked to its creation even before the state of Israel was declared, as shown in a secret telegram to US embassies and consulates in the Middle East. The influence of pro-Israeli lobbies in US politics goes to the extent of formulating foreign policy [[64]]. If Great Britain allowed Jewish emigration and paved the way to the “Jewish home” in British-occupied Palestine (Balfour promise), the godfather of the bastard state is well the USA.

Superpowers Are Not Forever

If we consider all the former empires that collapsed, we will see the real trajectory of the USA in history. The decline has already started. It is just a question of time. Israel is just a satellite in the US orbit. The USA does not make the earth spin. It will continue to spin and orbit around the sun after the collapse of the USA.

Probabilities and Conspiracy Theory: Axis of Evil

It is plausible that the US maintains Site 512 in Israel to support Israel in its strategic objectives, which are not, at the core, different from those of the US – let’s admit it. There is a tacit understanding between the bastard state and the godfather about being helpful and subservient to the interests of the global superpower. It is known and understood that if the USA collapses, which may happen, as for the URSS and other empires,  Israel will not survive.

The US Middle East bases provide the superpower with a strategic advantage in the region, allowing it to monitor and respond to a variety of non-wished developments, which Washington considers as threats and challenges. The Middle East has been under US hegemony since WWII. The USA is not ready to allow the Arab and Muslim countries to be independent and sovereign, developing their own potential and rising to the top. It has already enough headaches containing China and Russia. Why should it allow the Arabs also to fly of their own wings?

In conclusion, while the US does maintain a significant military presence in several Middle East countries including Qatar and Israel, the specific claim that the US needs Site 512 in Israel to support the Jewish state in an expansionist war becomes  supported by the available information and the above analysis. The US is deeply involved with Israel in suppressing any resistance movement in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, or Iran.

However, we cannot rule out the conspiracy theory, if we acknowledge that the US-Israel alliance is an “axis of evil” to use the terms of G.W. Bush.

A military operation led by a resistance movement like Hamas inside Israel,  if it is allowed to pass all the radars and other security barrages, would make the Western leaders accept the idea of “Israel self-defence”, if Netanyahu goes in an all-out war destroying Gaza and transferring its population to Sinai. As a matter of fact, no single Western leader dared oppose this plan. All of them have been watching the genocide and repeating “Israel’s right to self-defence” as a mantra. When the  UN Secretary General condemned Israel for its crimes, Israel demanded his resignation.
